Apart from the various applications in the field of mechanical engineering and transport technology, there are always special applications that represent a new challenge for our engineers.
In 2013, FWT won a tender of the University of Bologna / Italy. For a particular type of surface investigations, the world’s largest wind tunnel was produced. FWT was responsible for the production of the carbon fiber channel with a length of 110m as well as for the assembly of the pipes. FWT built the 23 items, each with 5 m length, 900 mm diameter and 300 kilograms in a former mine in Preddapio / Italy.
